Good Morning The purchase of last friday. Another type of watch I was actively looking for was a Seamaster chronograph from the 50s to 60s. The ones I saw were in very average condition and over-priced. I fell back on an extremely rare Meylan chronograph, a distant cousin of the Omega Seamaster chronograph of the 50s with a decimal bezel but much rarer. An uncommon and rare collector's item with the 321/lemania 2320 movement without being prohibitively expensive. Have a nice week end best regards and stay safe Georges More about Meylan History https://chronographes.net/2018/04/28/meylan/
Really nice piece. I made the same decision with a Wakmann (Lemania 1281 movement). To the perennial "poor man's Carreras/poor man's Autavia," we might need to add the category of "poor man's Omega Seamaster 321."
