I just stumbled on this: http://www.trademarkia.com/speedmaster-skywalker-85687902.html I wonder if this has been discussed over here already ?
I wonder if it could be an Omega competitor to the Rolex Sky-Dweller in the GMT stakes... there was an Omega Anakin Skywalker chronograph in the past, but it was a Seamaster watch.
You know the rule - no picture = didn't happen. Until I see a picture of this vapor watch I won't believe it's in the making.
Yep, as much as I would like too see a new generation of the 70's Seamaster "Skywalker" this trademark is a bit confusing as it says Speedmaster Skywalker - which might be in line with Speedmaster Spacemaster (I'm just thinking aloud). On the other hand, trademarks can be reserved for protective use only - so that no one else starts to use the same name... I guess we will have to wait and see...
Here it cometh.... http://www.watch-insider.com/news/baselworld-2014-omega-novelties/9/ not what I was expecting ...
Yes , see thread here:http://omegaforums.net/threads/new-omega-skywalker-x33-speedmaster-basel-2014.11638/
Interestingly there are a few other trademarks there: Omega DewDrop and Omega Par-Axial sound interesting out of those, I wonder what a DewDrop is?
Wow , there was indeed a bunch of new names... we shall see in the future then @ cicindela: thanks for the link... @ dsio: very nice write up on the new x-33
