A New Member - Not A New Request (Looking for Bond watch advice!)

Wow, not my experience with them at all in two transactions, but I take you at your word.
Please know I’m not trashing them. They were awesome and I was never upset/angry about my purchase. Just bummed it didn’t work out. However, they were absolutely fantastic. I’d be happy to purchase from them in the future and know that I’m safe. I did a ton of research on them prior to purchasing and read numerous blog posts from other sources that all eluded to them servicing everything without outright saying “they service everything.” Everything I read led me to believe their watch makers serviced every watch before listing but that’s just not the case. That’s not to say that every watch from them will need one or turn out to be an unfortunate purchase like mine... but if it’s an older watch that someone is interested in and it isn’t explicitly listed as being serviced in the description, I would budget for a servicing on top of the purchase price.

edited to add: despite the watch having issues I still enjoyed my experience with them. Their prices are higher but they are a dealer with overhead and part of that price is their guarantee. With how fantastic their customer service is, I’ll always recommend them. I’d just advise still being smart about the purchase and ask them questions.

Thanks for that information @Scarecrow Boat. I was looking online and quickly found a dozen 2220.80 images that appeared to have a black “Omega.” Interesting example of how tricks of light constantly make Omegas beautiful to look at.

More fuel to the fire of why I "like" them without ever having stepped foot in a store and speaking face to face. They really do seem to do it the right way. I'm sorry that you didn't have the best experience but I appreciate your insights

I think the watch looks legit. Its ofcourse hard to say based on mobile pics but i think it looks fine. One thing to note is that the box allthough beeing an original omega box is a newer box then the one delivered with this reference. My 2220.80 is from 2010 and it has the horribel red vinyl box that looses all its coulor 😀 Be sure to get the instruction book as well if you want a full set.

A HUGE thank you to those of you who chimed in and helped me out along the way! I've had the watch now for a few weeks but have a very long story about getting it to a Boutique to have it checked out for authenticity and today just finally getting another half link taken out so it finally fits right.

I could not be happier with this watch and I'm so glad to finally join the Omega family. It's even more beautiful that I thought it'd be!
