We were invited by our local OB to attend a wine tasting event last night, and the watch she's been wanting was part of a special display. After we looked at it again (like an old friend) and had a nice chat with the Boutique manager, some other guests took an interest in the watch and asked that it be removed from the case so a lady could try it on. Watching intently from across the room, I thought my wife was going to have a tantrum of some kind. She began whispering to me, "I can't believe it! They're looking at MY watch! We need to stop them somehow!" I was able to calm her down after the watch went back in the case, and we went out to dinner.
This morning I reflected on the events of last night, and I decided that she's waited long enough. So we have a new member of the house collection ...
My wife is thrilled. And now I have official permission to start saving for a Speedy!
