First off two Thank You’s

@nzshadow - what a top idea from a top person!
@Eve - if you hadn’t noticed my stupidity I wouldn’t have won!

I am in the UK nzshadow the other side of the planet in Australia, what fantastic things the WWW and this forum are - we live in privileged times even if they are tough at the moment for many around the world.
I have asked some advice from nzshadow on how to go forward and as soon as I hear back from him I will be following up on his initiative.

Sorry you were unlucky this time, (well, to be honest - not that sorry!! I am a blue watch fan) but better luck next time.

Keep well and watch this watch space.

I am seriously disappointed that no one in this community picked the number 42...

Okay, not really seriously.

Congrats to the winner and a very nice gesture by the OP. Watch will be sold on Chrono and this thread will turn into a fight and people will be banned.

Ha! I tried to but my fat fingers hit a zero and 42 went to 420. Didn’t notice until I posted and didn’t want to screw things up with an edit. 😉

I’ll take 489, thanks

At this point if you are still wanting to play you should at least select the winning number that was announced over 9 hours ago 😉

Okay, so here we go with Round Two of ‘The @nzshadow ‘pay it forward’ lottery!'©

I am really careless and brutal on my everyday watches, I treat them as tools and do not molly coddle them - hit the door frame ‘oh well’ and move on. Therefore I buy something that will survive a neanderthals abuse and this is one.

The watch that I am putting up is a Nite Icon, this is a British made (Swiss Ronda 715Li) quartz 43mm stainless steel lump. On a black rubber dive strap I will include an original blue leather Nite strap so you can dress it up a bit.

(nitewatches.com)

Bought it about 2 years ago and wore it 24/7 after getting fed up with an older, smaller black version from the same company that I struggled to see due to ageing eyeballs. As you can see from the pics legibility is not an issue - it also has gtls to make it extremely visible in the dark.

Having come into some money I decided to buy a long desired dive watch and got the SMP last year so the Nite went nightnight and has been sitting in my watch box since. Hopefully someone will like it and want to use it rotation or for reasons of their own.

On to the comp, same as before drop a message in claiming your number, I will do a randomised selection from 1 - 500, the clock starts clicking from (now - but officially) 10.00 GMT for 24 hours. I will use the same method as @nzshadow - not sure my tech skills will let me cut and paste for you see the randomiser as he did but I will try and if not you will have to trust me!

I will post FOC to the winner after completion (I am in lockdown at the mo (not prison) but will post asap).

I will be playing The Mornington Crescent Variation…Rule 27b, Paragraph 17, Sub Section b7, which states “the person organising the lottery may allocate one number for no apparent reason” therefore @Archer has been given #42 - grab one of the other499, and good luck.

Let the fun continue and stay healthy and well, best wishes.

Paul

Ah crap!

I was going for 42.

🙁

Good Luck Al!

I'll try 404 again.

Thanks Paul, it's a great initiative, I just hope I don't win or else I may have to relinquish one of my Invictas.
