Hello Achim
Just a few years ago, better times.... The watch, unfortunately, is also not an Omega and not a Doxa, its a PP 3970, the last new watch I ever bought new (in 1986) .. and have sold in the meantime... Please note pants and socks!
Happy Xmas from Old Europe
Richard

The impeccable taste for that ride and those pants... then socks with sandals...

I’m not sure if your my hero or nemesis.

@M'Bob, here's a couple for you. Seems that it's hard to find me in pics, especially without my darlin' or my girls..

I'm wearing the PO XL here in this pic, but that was sold and now my go to vacation watch is the modern Ploprof. I also upgraded to a full face snorkel mask.

So, having a strong Vintage Omega Community here, i thought, it might be nice to have a face to go with the name...
I can play along. I’m nothing to look at, so I can only hope the presence of my lovely wife will compensate...

It’s cold and snowy outside in Southwestern Ontario now, so this reminds me of a happier season not so many months ago!

I will be a sport and play, but only cuz outside of Mad Dog, you guys aren't any prettier than me. LOL I have noticed that you guys all seem to be "over chicked", .......must be the watches. I know my wife is too pretty for me too. This pic is as good looking as I can pull off now a days, taken in March this year at the father/daughter dance.

And here is a gratuitous pic of the watch I will be wearing to it next March. Thank you again, Norman.

Earlier, I substituted a spoof shot of Alfred E. Newman, instead of a picture of myself. But since so many of you have taken to contributing to this thread with a real photo, I will too. I had the honor of being selected as “Heritage Craftsman” by the City of Calgary Heritage Authority in 2012 as a result of significant work I did on the 1910 Seth Thomas 16A tower clock in our original City Hall. A grand soirée was held, and the numerous award recipients were asked to speak. Ms. C. shot this while I was giving my spiel. I have added a link which takes you to a video, of the award announcement on local television, and as part of the video, the Seth Thomas is shown. I am shown with my master machinist friend Trevor Beatson, both standing by the clock.

That's me on the right with Robert-Jan Broer at the top of the Tokyo Skytree. I was participating in the Fratello Watches Grand Seiko Experience Japan tour in September of this year. It was a great experience spending five days with other watch nerds touring the various Grand Seiko venues and exploring Japan.

Wearing my 1969 Speedy 145.022 sourced right here on OF.
