Decided it was high time I paid a visit to Fort George https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_George,_Highland as it has been on the to do list for many a year.
For any that have an interest in military history I would recommend a visit, I thought we would perhaps spend an hour or two but ended up the best part of four hours with quite a bit left over for the next visit.

Smiths W10 on duty today 👍

Off duty 😀

Sunshine and a shortage of the "Midge' obviously I kept up my quinine intake just in case 😁

I was worried that it was just some sparkling water with lemon.
I hope you had a double, since we all know that Malaria cases are rising in Scotland, damn Global warming!

You are not far from the truth as the last time we visited Fort George there were dolphins swimming and leaping about within easy sight of the shore.I can thoroughly endorse Alpha's views on a visit here

To be honest given the weather this summer the possibility of "Trench Foot" was probably greater but taking no chances 😉
