    Thanks to @Tom Dick who supplied the very rare British made mesh, this very rare example of a 2998 looks so good the wife grabbed it.

    It is a rare service dial, in a 2998. The hands are baton, as replaced at the service by Omega, perhaps sometime in the late 1960's

    I am not sure when these blues were fitted, more research needed.

    This one is a 2998

    Like buses, they both came along at once.

    Wow, I assumed this was the same watch!

    It does look great, especially with that bracelet.

    It'd be good to get some more of the history and info for these dials. They must be in a catalogue somewhere....
