Thanks to @Tom Dick who supplied the very rare British made mesh, this very rare example of a 2998 looks so good the wife grabbed it. It is a rare service dial, in a 2998. The hands are baton, as replaced at the service by Omega, perhaps sometime in the late 1960's I am not sure when these blues were fitted, more research needed.
is that the one you picked up last year? ...or a new one? https://omegaforums.net/threads/some-highlights-of-2014-105-003s.20111/#post-218245
Wow, I assumed this was the same watch! It does look great, especially with that bracelet. It'd be good to get some more of the history and info for these dials. They must be in a catalogue somewhere....
Probably late to the game, but I'll dibs th 105.003 since Darren already got this one. Love those dials!
Fantastic, William - this one looks awesome!!! As you said, there is more research needed, but what are your assumptions so far concerning theese blue dials? What is your theory?
