About a month ago I purchased a beautiful Sterling Omega box from Ulackfocus. Dennis said it had a few marks, but I still haven’t found them. I think he was very conservative. The box was (is) absolutely immaculate. These boxes, as most of you know, were made to hug and caress the 18k DeLuxe or 18k Centenary models. The boxes are very rare and just beautiful! Here is a pic:

Last night I had the most incredible dream. I dreamed that I took the sterling box out of the safe to gently polish and admire the box. When I was polishing it, I felt it bump in my hand. Then it felt a little warm. I didn’t pay much attention and put it back in the safe. Several days passed. The next time I went to play with the box, it still felt warm, almost like a soft glow of warmth was coming from the inside of the princely and royal box. Goose bumps immediately appeared on my arms, and I felt a strong urge to look inside the box.

Not being able to resist my temptation to open Pandora’s Box, I gently opened the beautiful textured sterling lid. There inside was a beautiful face of a new baby looking up and googling at me with the most beautiful golden smile :) :

Then I WOKE UP! Wow, what a wonderful dream. If only it were true. When I woke up in the morning, I was smiling like a cheshire cat and wanted to go back to sleep and dream again. But alas work, not hope, seems to spring eternal.

I couldn’t got the magical box off my mind. When I came hope from work, The first thing I did was go to the safe. I dialed the lock and reached in to grab the box. WAIT! It almost seemed to be a little warm! I opened up the lid............and there was the Centenary!!!!!

It was in minty condition, with original Omega strap and Omega 18k buckle. And it loves it’s little Sterling bed! Here are some more pics. I have also pictured it with the Scooter DeLuxe Connie and its sterling box, as well as another 18k Connie. Credit’s are at bottom.

    Awesome watches!

Would it be possible to have a closer look at this one, and especially the bracelet, maybe?

Vintage watches are so much happier when they have proper housing.

The Centenary is to celebrate 100 years of Omega history, and so was made available in 1948. It has the 331 Jubilee movement. The Centenary was the first automatic chronometre which was introduced by Omega. Sort of like the daddy to the Constellation. The DeLuxe Constellation is from 1957 and has the 505 movement with the 7077 18kt bracelet which was ordered with the watch.

Great watches Bup! I was fortunate enough to find a sterling silver centenary box for £50. Probably one of my luckiest buys! :)
