Recently I have been looking seriously at the day/date Aqua Terra, probably the blue dial, but don't understand Omega's reluctance to give the METAS certification as well as the 15,000 gauss certification to the movement. Could it be that they had a glut of older left over movements, no doubt caused by the $2800 price increase over the simple date only?

I'll throw this out one more time...curious as why I never see this watch/movement discussed here, or really anywhere. I have had a day date function since my Grandmother gave me a Clinton diver for middleschool graduation in the 70's, so it is just something I am very comfortable with. Also my work schedule, which consists of 12 hour shifts beginning Wed. evening and ending the following Wed morning it is actually quite helpful. 4-5days into that schedule, by 4 in the morning, I literally may not know what day it is. Thanks

Unfortunately, day date watches aren’t very popular.

I own this for the fifth year and it"'s still 1 sec a day. Amazing watch.

It’s a different watch, but the same movement. I haven’t had any issues with it. It lacks the jumping hour hand, but uses a quick set date, which is nice.
