Good news...our oldest teen unit (Hannah, age 19) will also be attending the Introduction To Watchmaking class at the AWCI HQ with me...so I’ll be getting her a headwire and loaning her my backup Omega loupe. Meanwhile, I’ve tasked her with studying watch nomenclature as was recommended by the AWCI prior to attending the class...good times! 👍

Sorry, just saw this. There's no need to dress up at all, and I have found that most people just wear whatever...jeans, khakis, tee shirts, dress shirts...
a godawful aggie hat and t-shirt.

Just for the record, that's not my couch in the pic above...that's Hannah's couch...I would never own or claim a couch like that. 😲

I normally sit on Dunkin' Donuts chairs, Hooters chairs, cinder blocks, logs or dirt. 👍

So I guess this thread will just simply fade away when Hannah does better than you in the final exam?

Well clearly one of the things wrong with you (one in a long list) is your eyesight - that is not an aggie hat...

Chances are high I suspect. Better eyesight, better dexterity, and from what I have seen a much calmer personality...all things that give Hannah a much better chance of success. 😀

Correct...she can get really nutty at times. 👍

Also, you had referenced earlier that she has better dexterity...I'll have you know that I have smoked her repeatedly [as well as all the other teenage punks that reside on our street] in both Nintendo Game Boy original "Tetris" as well as original "Pong"...not even close, dude...Mad Dog #1. 😁

Regarding her having previously referenced better eyesight? Yeppers...I can't see jack poo without my glasses. 🙁

She probably keeps cracking up at the awesome 1972 vintage graphics and that hurts her score.

On the way to day one at the bench at the AWCI introduction to watchmaking class with our daughter Hannah...

If you didn’t notice...we’re pretty beat [just like @Archer had previously predicted]...time to hit the rack and go at it again tomorrow. 👍

Hey @Mad Dog, 2 things:
1. I am jealous that you are sharing this class with your daughter. I can't get mine to even WEAR a watch, let alone learn how to fix one.

2. Why is your steering wheel on the wrong side of the dashboard?

Isn’t this Stage 1 Borg Assimillation?

EDIT: Just noticed MaL beat me to that gag on p2. Keep up at the back lol.

I hear you...I’m very grateful to be able to do this 3 day class...especially with our oldest teen unit [Hannah]. She doesn’t wear a watch very often...but she has stated that she’s having a pretty good time at the AWCI. She has rated the experience at the AWCI [so far] as a 7 out of 9...she only goes up to 9 on her rating scale...nothing gets a 10.

Also, the steering wheel appears on the other side because Hannah used the other lens on the phone camera...so everything appears reversed.

I get your game now Collin.

You take along some serious eye candy to distract all of the young men in the class so they stab themselves with a screwdriver, drop screws, can't concentrate, and keep trying to out do each other in front of Hannah.

You cunning dog, what a way to beat the opposition.

I was just thinking it looks on the correct side to me 😉

How the hell is that coffee suspended in mid air in the second pic though! ?!
