It's impossible to properly evaluate the watch with these photos. The lack of a photograph of the movement would be enough to keep me from buying the watch. What I can see from these photos is that the lume on the hour and minute hands is nearly or completely gone. That would make me wonder whether any of the flaked lume has worked its way into the movement. The case shows some significant scratches particularly on the lugs. There is some scuffing on the crystal (not a big deal) and there may be some marks on the dial (again, hard to tell without better photos). There are some minor chips on the bezel. I can't tell whether there is corrosion on the inside edge of the bezel where it meets the crystal or that may just be accumulated dirt and grime that will go away with a good cleaning. The bracelet looks like an Omega 1171, probably with 633 end links, and may have some stretch, but again it's impossible to verify without better photos. Do you know when the watch was last serviced? What's the asking price?

Hi, I would suggest getting Moonwatch Only book, 3rd edition, it is an amazing book and definitely worth a read beforehand, it could save you £100-£1000s. Someone is selling brand new ones on eBay for £110, delivered in the uk (not sure where you are).

An you share your thoughts on it? What do you think of the case/dial/bezel?

It all comes down to price and whether the watch appeals to you personally.

i see, thanks for what you saw with thoses poors pics
the bracelet is 1116/575 (saying the seller).
OK i have compared with authentic 71 from others posts, dial seems accurate (for me), but no idea about those 'green lumes'.
I have to think about the price now ... (have to make an offer)
thanks

The 1116/575 is one of the correct bracelets for this watch. The green lume is normal although not everyone finds it attractive (I do, but your tastes may vary). I've attached a photo of my 1971 for comparison. Again, I would be very cautious about buying this watch without good clear photos of the current state of the movement and information from the seller about when the watch was last serviced and what was done. Unless you are planning to leave the hands as they are, your options are either to source a replacement pair of tritium hands, which will be quite expensive, or to relume the hands with superluminova which will devalue the watch as a collectible piece.

The dial hands and bezel are all to be as expected for a 71.

caseback and serial needed to confirm.

As said above- looks correct and honest from crappy pics, but all comes down to price. For $3k, grab it now. For $10k…..

I wouldn’t recommend making an offer on the book, as there are only 4 available with 17 offers submitted, the price is very good. I ordered it from them last weekend came on Tuesday. Well packaged etc.
I put in an offer of £97 and it was auto accepted - but I wouldn’t want to lose it over a few pound either way.

Bargain! When I got mine it said only 1 in stock, there had been 3, so I didn’t wanna risk it. £97 is a good price! ::psy::

It’s a book that will keep on giving - intended to bid on a 1989 20 anniversary Apollo XI - checked it in the book and realised the dial and hands had been replaced (I know I should have known either way) - would have been a big (stupid) mistake!

It’s good to check in the big book as it can get quite confusing with all the different Connotations available

Having read your post I also tried putting in £97. The counter offer was £103 which I'm going to accept. As you wrote, why lose this deal over a few pounds.

That 71, looks an honest watch... don't bother trying to source some Tritium hands, it looks great with the patina, just enjoy it, and if it stops working, then get it serviced... it's a Speedy they run just fine.........as said just depends on what you pay for it, and that is upto you.
