Hi All I have a Forster 1450 President on my watchco SM300 (case ref. 166.0324 -- iirc) Does anyone know if the endlinks from that will work with a vintage 1171 bracelet? They are great quality (solid, for a start) and I'm hoping they'll mate ok. Tbh I'm assuming not. (The 1450 wasn't the 1171 so why should they?) Failing that, can someone tell me the measurements of the recess in a 633 end piece (and/or the measurements of the "male" part of the final link in a 1171 bracelet). Failing that are there any cheap aftermarket 633 alternatives? I'm wondering about the Uncle Seiko ones here: https://unclestraps.com/en-gb/products/omega-us1171-end-links Thanks!
I think you can probably get actual 633 endlinks from Omega. And they aren't too expensive on eBay, TBH.
Measuremwnts you are looking for are at the end of the first post: https://omegaforums.net/threads/fro...ge-seamaster-and-speedmaster-bracelets.45883/ But Dan is right, 633 are available and not too expensive as far as Omega end links go.
incidentally this post https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedmaster-1450-bracelets-coveted-or-overrated.43503/page-2 seems to suggest that you can use 1450 endlinks on a 1171 bracelet (maybe with a bit of a gap) but not vice versa because the 1450 has a larger male part* than the female recess of the 633 / 677 endlinks (these can be filed to accommodate though). *keep your smutty comments to yourself!
