·Great find on the side by side comparison Scott. Just wished the "Swiss Made" was placed in the original position, but that's a minor quibble. 👍
Thinking about the 60th 57' on the ST leather strap ...

I remember calling an Omega boutique in London during Basel (I'm in Norway): there was like 50 people on the list already... But I managed to be the first or second in the Paris boutique 😁
That same boutique said end of July / early August.
There has been lots of talk of ST speculators cashing in, but it sounds like the 60 is where the money is if anyone sold one. Be interesting to see one on the second hand markets.
I don't know who snapped up the UK allocation, but not come across anyone who managed to bag one yet and that includes about 30 people who got a Speedy Tuesday without any difficulty.
How about the rallye style strap? The original was a racing watch, right? I have the 19mm with deep brown oiled strap coming in from Heuerville that I think I am going try on the watch when I get mine...

I would also be interested to know is what the UK allocation was. My AD has two shops and ended up with only one 60th Speedmaster for each shop. I got the one in the Winchester shop and through the forum I know who got the one in the shop in Kent. I got in very early, before my AD even knew about it, because having missed out on the ST I received an advance email from Omega. I think quite a few on the forum who have one reserved are UK based. I agree that these are less likely than the ST to appear for sale anytime soon, most likely with collectors who actually want to keep the watch, I certainly do.
You did very well getting in early and I agree that the 60th Speedmaster is going to be a true gem this year that most buyers will keep - and that's how it should be. I have already seen three ST being sold on TZ and others are talking about moving theirs on, so these do not appear to have gone to die hard collectors or enthusiasts.
G gbh76Very different approach to the selling of the watches. Given the need (in most markets) for a sizeable, or even 100% deposit I suspect very few speculators on the 60th Speedy. Hopefully most watches will find their way to genuine collectors who will likely keep, and shock horror maybe even wear the watches.
Despite the larger run of watches, I think far fewer will find their way to the secondary market.
The ST was an exercise in social media marketing, which has unfortunately led to many genuine collectors (esp those on the Pacific coast) missing out.
