Bumping this post as I'd really like to know what you all are using to change your straps.
I used my oem version (FB-504) of the Bergeon 6111 spring bar tool to change to a new leather strap I bought. I don't plan to be changing the 60th Speedy bracelet/strap that often but I would certainly consider the 6825 pliers because I think the chances of scratching the lugs are greatly reduced with the pliers over a spring bar tool. However, I think the 6825 is intended for bracelets and might not be as effective on leather straps on which the large fork end of the 6111 works very well.

here in Spain all are served and if any Omega authorized watchmaker does not have, it will not have more, it's all sold, I have two Speedmaster, because one was for my brother but he bought a Rolex and I had it. The success of this watch is very great and promises to be a great special edition. you have to find out if Omega distributors have respected the reservations that customers made

Where did,you get this information from? If also true for other countries, it sounds worrying for the ones who reserved a long time ago and are still not served.

If a dealer calls to ask for a 60th to Omega Spain, they will answer that it is already sold out and can not serve any. in Barcelona, to give an example, there are no longer any for sale and the Omega boutiques in Spain have already delivered the Speedmasters to their owners. different from the Seamaster or Railmaster, if they can be found

OK I understand, it is sold out and impossible to buy one now.
But all have not yet been delivered by Omega and some of the ones who have already ordered and paid a deposit are still waiting for delivery.

It’s sold out in the system but still available at some dealers.

I am sure that you have to hunt for them and your best bet in my opinion is through AD's and not through OB's. The OB's are probably all allocated to people on their lists.

Correct. All Speedmaster sold out in Spain, but still some Railmaster and Seamaster available at some boutiques.

For those of you still waiting for your 60th Speedy, I was perusing Watchrecon (as I do and i'm sure as you do) there are quite a few that are at or even below retail out there. First thought why would anyone want to flip it (kinda kidding, kinda serious)? Second thing that comes to mind, wow this watch at below retail, that's a tasty proposition!! I guess one would have to be okay with not getting their specific reserved production number and would have to feel comfortable with the seller and whether or not it had a warranty. I'm curious if this would be an option that some on OF would consider?

It's always nice to buy from an OB or AD if possible but buying it at or below retail especially if it's already warrantied makes this piece an even better proposition. Part of me wishes I would have waited, ideally I always want to get a competitive price if possible. I'm assuming most of the ones for sale are offered by someone trying to flip them, hopefully they purchased from an AD or OB which would mean the warranty is intact and then homework on the individual needs to be conducted, etc. These all seem like they are BNIB and sellers have the piece in hand. Fyi, I located my 60th at an AD and I wasn't particular about the production number, paid retail for it.

Would be good to hear thoughts on picking up from what essentially seems like a private reseller? I personally would love to see less of these with flippers and more secured in OF fam collections and like minded enthusiasts.

Couple shots of a new strap I got from Emre Leatherworks. I love the cracking in the leather, really helps draw out the "fauxtina" in the dial.

That one is a winner in my opinion. One of the better vintage looks that I have seen. Congrats!
