Very cool that you were able to try on the 60th '57, Daval. Don't get me wrong, All. I love the ST as well as it's a beautiful watch with a fun 'current day/Internet inspired' story, however, I have a thing for classics/originals/icons and I just don't feel that the ST fits this category. The 60th '57 Speedy has the same effect on me as when I see a '66 AC Cobra, '73 Porsche 911 Carrera RS or a Big Crown Sub. I don't get the same reaction with the ST. Although it's unique and WAY cool, it just doesn't make my heart race. Now, if I won the lottery I'd own one 😀

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really looking forward to seeing some pictures of this watch on the other straps that it comes with. My bracelets all seem to end up getting removed in favor of straps...

I'm with you, DV! I've already started to do research on the ideal (2 or 3) leather straps for the '57 Speedy. I'm finding that the 19mm lug width somewhat limits the options. If you find a strap that you like please post a photo!

This is the look I'm drawn to. Unfortunately, Hodinkee doesn't offer these straps in 19mm, only 20mm. Does anyone know who makes the
straps for Hodinkee?

I'll be throwing mine on the new grey NATO that comes with the box for the summer. I'll probably switch it back and forth with the Barenia leather NATO depending on which suit I'm wearing.

I think they're JPM, http://www.jeanpaulmenicucci.com/
I have one from Bulang&Son in 19mm that I love. Looks like your second one down.
But the Omega brown leather strap looks pretty nice.

You're correct. They're the suppliers for Hodinkee. I'll probably pick up one or two from JPM because apparently the OEM vintage strap quality isn't up to par from all the reviews from #ST.

I'm with you. I've been teasing myself with the possibility of acquiring a custom honey or brown gator from Camille Fournet. Just last night, I was playing around on their site with all different custom strap combinations! 😀 However, it would be nice just to get my Trilogy Speedmaster first. These photos are simply cruel and tortuous! 🙁

I was not able to get the ST. But I did try on the 60th and honestly I am still in doubt whether to get it or not. As far as the ST was concerned, I had no doubt that I wanted it.

This was the 60th on my wrist. It did find it to be the best watch in the trilogy.
If you are having doubts, perhaps it's simply not for you. I'm praying I will not feel the same way. I've always stated I would never acquire a new timepiece without seeing it in the flesh first. There have been too many occasions in which I fell in love with a watch from online photos only to be disappointed when I saw it in the flesh. Well, I violated my own rule. Like I stated, I keep praying and praying . . .

I will say that some of the recent shots we've seen show a blackish dial. Your great shots show that brownish tint that I fell in love with!

HODINKEE straps are made by Bulang & Sons.

Really?? Huh TIL. Thanks a lot.
I don't believe so. JPM makes straps for both Hodinkeee and B&S as I understand it.

Yes, sorry, this is correct. Basically if you like Hodinkee straps but want one in 19 mm or without branding you can buy either from JPM directly or from B&S.

JPM a.k.a. Jean Paul Menicucci supplies the Straps for both Hodinkee and Bulang, which are then rebranded and sold.

Can HIGHLY recommend Bulang and Sons straps. The Hodinkee ones are good too, except I dislike the buckle on hodinkee straps

I thought I was the only one to notice this! I own a Hodinkee suede strap and the buckle is absolute garbage. It feels incredibly cheap, like some kind of plastic almost, and in a brushed finish that pretty much doesn't match anything. Edit: Although it might match the ST I suppose...

Hey guys. Was just going through the Omega Instagram page and it looks like the 60th Anniversary watches will start going out from tomorrow.

Can't wait to get my Speedy.

What a let down. They better make up for this.
