Interesting - the dial itself (without anything on it) looks like original ones to me, regarding structure. Could you point out if you see anything in the surface itself that makes you think that, or is it the combination of everything else that doesn’t make sense?

Anyway. Thanks guys.

What exactely do you mean with "brushed dial"?

The first one you posted had a vertical brushing, the redialed one has sunburst finish as far as I can see

My bad - English isn’t my first language, as is probably apparent. My wording wasn’t precise, I merely meant to say that I found this Seamaster while searching for others with a vertical brushed dial. And while the sunburst finish didn’t put me off (as stated), I was sceptical about some of the other mentioned points, which is why I wanted to take the pictures here and thought there might be a lesson to be learned in it.

The point of threads like this is to learn so good for you to ask.
The fonts actually aren’t bad, but the minute track is too bold and too long, the lume plots are wrong and the lack of Swiss Made at the bottom are all signs of a redial.

Hello all,
sorry for the late reply - I was reading your posts in between but I’m on holiday right now ...
Wait, what? Away on vacation?

Haha, I‘m sorry - I should’ve specified. I live in Germany, where the restrictions are slowly (but steadily) being lifted. And while in some places, hotels etc are only just about to reopen, it sure is useful to have a mother-in-law who is native to one of our small islands and still resides there.
Also, she’s quite nice. With my ex, visiting the in-laws was never something I’d have called a holiday. 😉

Sorry for the off topic. Didn’t wanna let this one go by unanswered.
