Just curious, does anyone know how much a new dial runs for a ceramic SMP 300M (ie OP’s watch)?
Ouch!
Wow 😵💫

Me either...
Although it reminds of the days when I used to work retail at a store changing watch batteries and doing minor watch repairs. I'll never forget the customer that we changed her Seiko dress watch battery. The next day or two she comes back with the watch full of water saying its our fault and that we did a bad job. Apparently she went straight home after the battery change and put the watch on the dresser, when she picked up the watch in the morning it was full of water. My boss ended up fixing it for free. My thought was that if this lady can fill a watch with water on her dresser, that's a great magic show. But the customer is always right...even when they're ripping you off.
Not the first thread with this particular issue, OP confirms twice that the watch has no impacts at all and has been well cared...
But Omega enthusiasts cannot cope that info and blame OP instead.
I dunno whether to believe OP or not, but I do hope they report back...

Was the watch rated for water resistance? If so then presumably it passed your pressure test and as such she could expect it to function as advertised. Changing batteries without a pressure test is asking for this kind if trouble. Unless you make her fully aware that water resistance can no longer be relied on that is.
I know I've seen that clip many times but I can't place what movies/show it's from.
