This morning when I strapped on my Railmaster, I noticed, for the first time, that I could hear the rotor when it moves. The sound is similar to the Marlin movement in my Flying Snoopy Timex, albeit not quite as loud. I'm really hoping I haven't done something to cause damage.

Can any '57 Railmaster owners let me know if they can hear their rotor?

    Thanks!

Surprised you haven't heard it before. The 8806 uses a ceramic ball bearing on the oscillating weight, which can be noisy compared to a steel bearing, or a axle/bushing style rotor. Some noise is normal.

Thank you Sir! After so many years in bands and working in data centers immersed in what I call 'the sweet scream of the internet', my hearing is pretty much shot...must have missed it before.
