I am looking at a listing for a KS, the case back says 5626-7140, but I can't find any watches with normal dial on that model.

It's obviously overpolished. And it's presumably serviced.

Is this a frankenwatch?
Is just the caseback wrong?

Depends on the price . Definitely has been polished at one point . Maybe they replaced the dial for a better looking one .

Isn’t the model number written on the dial around the 6pm area for these watches?

There are a lot of tells. There is a number of you tube videos on these one guy got sick of buying frankens and really breaks them down. I actually retained the knowledge for over a day which impressed me but that was a couple years ago.

5626-7140 case back is from a Vanac. Dial looks really like a 5626-7110, but the hands are wrong... 5626-7110 caseback has a medalion and also it should come on a KS metal bracelet.

I am honestly tired of people selling stuff like this without labeling it. When I get to thin my KS pieces a bit, I will be sure to verify every piece before selling. Anything less is just being dishonest.

The listing here is from eBay btw. I bought two minty LMs 5606 with wrong dials from the same seller. Otherwise the cases are shiny, minty, unpolished with nice crystals and they have original metal bracelets. The movements look clean and the gaskets are replaced.

Of course now I check much more extensively unless I am buying the watch for some part I need from it.
