562 Movement with a 552 dial IN a 165.002 case

I have in my possession a 1963 Omega Seamaster with a crosshairs dial with NO DATE on a 562 movement. This is fitted into a 165.002 case. This all seems wrong! And can this even work? - runs well, keeps good time, nice watch to be honest.

It’s a redialed, heavily-polished watch - someone gussied up a beaten-up piece, I‘m not surprised this also involved using an incorrect movement (albeit one that has the same dimensions as the right caliber).

I’m looking at the colour mis-match on the movement, it could be just the bridge which contains the caliber number was replaced with one that was to hand and functional.

I don't thinks it could heavily polished as its 40 micro gold plated with nice sharp edges, the back appears to have little wear, to the sea horse emblem. Also no click when I go through the date adjust sequence when the date wheel moves behind the dial, a dial which if tarted up is pretty good in my opinion. So perhaps at Davidt suggested, a replaced bridge?

Don’t get me wrong. I also think the caseback is certainly heavily polished and I can’t decide on the case as the pictures aren’t great.
The dial also makes me nervous. Some better pics would help

Ok so the dial has been repainted. Not the worst job but it’s not original.

Condition is not a reliable indicator of a redial.

Some redials are very very patinated whereas some original dials are absolutely mint.
