So, I read the article and found it interesting, but trust Hoodinkie, they never did say whether it worked or not!

While the Towson Watch Company is mentioning "marketing by other brands", here they are missing the point as fact show otherwise !
We all know the first automatic wrist watch worn by a NASA astronaut was a Glycine Airman automatic pilot watch worn by Charles "Pete" Conrad during Gemini V (August 1965) and during Gemini XI (September 1966). Moreover, during Gemini XI this Glycine Airman automatic pilot watch also became the first automatic watch directly exposed to outer space during the spacewalks of fellow astronaut Richard Gordon due to the open cockpit design of the Gemini capsule.
Meanwhile many automatic wrist watches have been worn in space, the automatic chronographs worn by 1973-74 Skylab-4 astronauts Gerald Carr (Movado Datachron HS360 PHC automatic) and William Pogue (Seiko 6139-6005 automatic) a mission which lasted 84 days !!!

Edit: By The Way, German Navy Commander Gerald Thiele has 11 days 5 hours in space onboard STS-99 Endeavour in February 2000, not 6 months!

During both Gemini V (August 1965 on left forearm) and Gemini XI (September 1966 on right forearm), NASA astronaut Charles Pete Conrad wore his personal Glycine Airman automatic pilot watch over the spacesuit !
