San Francisco boutique just said 100K in there store with no guarantee. Anyone that doesn't think they are following Rolex is brain dead

This is a LE watch you are 2 years late to the party. If you can’t see that…….your crazy.,
Anything else your walking out with next week….Try that at a Rolex kiosk
( Boutique would mean they sell stuff )

Not that I had any interest in it, but that’s the number that was also mentioned to me when the subject of Snoopy came up while I was talking watches with the SF OB team recently.

Honestly this reads much more like a Watches of switzerland policy and not an Omega directed approach.

Yep. Our only local AD for Rolex, Omega, Panerai, etc is a chain that was purchased by Watches of Switzerland in 2017. Now you have to make an appointment to even look at a Rolex, have a buy history in the store to purchase one, and no discounts. Not surprising they are doing the same thing for other hot watches.

I wonder why any AD would sell a Silver Snoopy for 9600 when they are going for 3 times that on the secondary market. Until supply meets demand anyone wanting one is behind the 8 ball on this one, unfortunately.

you should learn some facts.
All of you Omega fan boys should learn some facts. It's not a limited edition. They produce the watch yearly in limited quantities. There is a difference. My beef with Omega is how they market it. It's not a "must have " for me. 2 years ago there were other watches that I wanted more and acquired them. My original post said that Omega is most likely testing the waters and will follow in Rolex's foot steps. They are doing this with the Swatch collaboration as well. Up to 2015 you could walk into most Rolex AD's and get what you wanted at a discount.

An AD is not allowed to sell watches at a price more than the List Price, that's almost always part of their agreement with the manufacturer. Plenty of games are played to get around this, the one Omega seems to like is to stipulate a certain spend level with Omega in order to be considered worthy of even being allowed to make a sizeable deposit and getting on the sacred list so sometime in the distant future you will get 'the call'. It seems to be ok with enough of the public that they play along with this shakedown.

I was offered it from a boutique last year as long as I was prepared to wait over a year. Declined because I didn't want one.
Your posts are just sounding like a "Me Now Me Now Me Now" attitude that doesn't work with luxury goods made in smaller amounts.
What part of high demand don't you get. Let alone 2 years after High demand started.

Do we need a "Let it go" meme 😗

We need a meme for "learn to read". This post is about Omega following in Rolex's foot steps.

I just got off the phone with the Omega Boutique in Vegas in order to make an appointment. The criteria right now to possibly be considered ( no guarantee) for a 50th Silver Snoopy is as follows:
1) $100,000.00 purchase history with Watches of Switzerland Omega
2) At minimum 4 Speedmasters in your collection.
3) If purchase history is less than 100K for Omega you will need 200K in brands purchased through W. of Switzerland.
I quit buying Rolex for this reason. My opinion is that Omega is testing the waters. Dont' be surprised if future more common models follow. Buy now if you have a model you're contemplating.

I guess it's perhaps my station in life, but that seems nuts to me.

The Snoopy is a cool watch, but the standard Speedmaster or other LEs are just as good. Why not just go with a 2016 ck2998 or a Tokyo 2020 Blue Panda? IMO people are just chasing after the Snoopy because of the hype. There are plenty of other good blue Speedmasters out there if we're talking aesthetics.

Why not buy something else? Emotion.....luxury products are emotional products. People are whipped up on owning a Snoopy, they aren't going to go buy something else.

I'm a collector and never pay above retail. I won't buy one with the terms they want. It's not a big deal because there are many other brands and models I'm interested in. I don't collect 1 brand only. The economy could easily crash and if it does it will be a buyers paradise.

Good luck with the 'buyer's paradise' thing.

Bought mine from DavidSW a few months back and wore it into the Vegas boutique last month. The salesman said it was the first time he'd seen a Snoopy in the wild and another staffer was VERY interested in cleaning it. I love this watch but the attention is a little weird.

So is that bracelet! I haven’t seen anyone wear it on that configuration

I tried on a demo Snoopy in the Omega Boutique last week, it's a nice watch but not sure the hype is worth it. But they do say good things come to those who wait....

Yeah, it's different, but it's super comfortable. It came off my first Speedy, which my brother bought me for my birthday last year. You have to remove the end link tabs to fit it but that way they won't scratch the lugs. I also like that it's mostly satin like the dial.
