Hello!

Im in the need of some advice from you experienced omega fans 😀

What is your thoughts regarding this 50s black waffle dial? 36mm, cal 332. My spontaneous thought is that it looks good, with symetrical markning and crisp text. However the "seamaster" is missing(?). What would be a reasonable price for this one? (looking to buy)
Unfortunately im not able to provide any additional photos.

Thanks OF! 😀

Probably helpful to us if you let us know what price you’re being asked to pay.
Is it working? Has it been serviced?

Ofc my bad!
Its an auction and the service history is unknown, however its currently running.
I wish for an aproxymental value to prevent myself from overpaying 😀

However the "seamaster" is missing(?
I don't see any remarkable exceptions.
Corrosion on the hands would require my seeing the movement.
Appears the gold lettering is beneath the black which would be correct.
"Seamaster" is not always there, no concern to me.
With a good movement we are in the 800-1000$US range?

Hold on for others thoughts as I am slightly impaired momentarily.

Well that just means you are more likely to tell the truth so I’m sure your drunken estimate is a good one

Omega calibre 332, bumper automatic, circa late 1940s, early 1950s. From the Ranfft archive. In my opinion, when Uncle Buck sobers up and takes another look at the price he put on it, he might want to reconsider that figure. Sounds high to me.

your drunken estimate
Uncle Buck sobers up

What??? I'm getting a massage and I don't know what ya'll are talking about.

I said with a good movement and I stand by my call regardless.
I wouldn't sell mine for $800

What would be a reasonable price for this one?

In respect for others here, I agree that a reasonable price may be lower but I think I'm close on a market price.

These are indeed fine gentlemen with great knowledge and good intentions, so weigh all responses

If watch has a screw back case, it is probably an early Seamaster.

Retail prices are all over the board, although ones with original black waffle dials usually bring a premium.

I thought it would be a bit higher even due to the 36mm and original(?) black waffle dial.
Thanks guys!

I think yours being the silver indices as opposed to the gold in the OP would fetch more, I would pay more for that....even dead sober and not three sheets to the “massage”. And wait, who is checking OF while getting a massage? You need to find a better masseuse if your web surfing.
