Hey folks,

this might well be the most unrealistic WTB I’ll ever post, but… who knows. I’m looking for a vintage white gold Omega buckle, 14 or 16mm, from the late 50s or early 60s. If you have anything, see anything, know anything please drop me a PM. 😀

Thanks - and thanks OF for the space!

I know why. 😀 And while you're at it, Matt, please find a correct set of hands for my 14381 with the special order factory luminous package. I have a feeling that they are going to be about as easy to find as your buckle. 🙁

Can you show us a picture of what you are looking for? Not sure they ever existed. White gold watches are rare today because they were not popular in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. You could get them, but generally by special order only.

My thought was that most were ordered as full deluxe models with the matching white gold bracelet. If on leather, perhaps the buckles were rhodium plated steel?

I’ve saved a link to an auction but failed to save the pic and they’re gone now, unfortunately. It was a WG 168.005 and came on the classic big logo 16mm clasps, in WG, stamped 750 and everything. So this style of buckle:

Edit: found the other one:

Way more attainable would be rhodium plating a YG one, I won't tell anyone.
