40/50s JLC gents watchs... Thoughts?

I really love these old JLC, with the wide hands.
One of my next target for sure!
So if I understand a good one should be priced around 500 usd? A bit hard to find a reference or a way to name this model.. I will look forward

This seems to be currently on sale for what I think is a very reasonable price of $500.

Hum, I am not sure that is such a great deal.
The dial could be a redial - I thought it is when I looked at it but the pic is not good. Moreover the case is in brass with a rodhium layer which is worn. And no case back pic - but that could probably easily be fixed.

(But maybe it is not correct from me to comment a sell on another forum.)
