·I don't know, I've tried as hard as I could to 'need' the 39.5mm, and just found the proportions off (thick, short L2L, overly crowded dial). The 43 certainly wears bigger, but not overly so.
Yep!
Do you know what, I was thinking go for the PO 42mm cal 2500 as its going to gain in value, I have seen a couple running at £2400.00. I don't like shiny but I do like the look of the new ish SMP 300 you show here, I can find that brand new at under £2500 on the grey market I really do like that new one it looks great on the wrist. But then I have an SMP300 quartz from 2006 that is running perfectly. But that one you have there in that picture looks the dogs. I think the PO is out, IF I am going to go for a replacement SMP I think I will go the current one and in Blue. This photo of your convinced me the SMP is the way to go.
Can someone please tell me what the weight is with the bracelet?
When Omega brings back a 42 mm Planet Ocean at 14.2 mm thick and with a matte dial, then I'll be one of the first in line. Not until.
Yes! the 39.5mm PO is the perfect size. I wish Omega's new ceramic PO wasn't so huge. All about 45mm is ridiculous. Please make a sub 42mm version.
Why wouldnt it be?
40MM is the undisputed champ of dive watch diameter sizes
14.2MM is chunky enough to give tool-watch wrist presence, but slim enough to fit under every cuff
Liquid metal and ceramic bezel and dial, cutting edge technology
8800 movement is Master Chronometer rated, co-axial, and cutting edge technology. I can do without the time zone function and 5 hours of power reserve if it means slimming down 1.5mm in height.
Just some random thoughts as I work through my latest watch obsession. Some random internet pictures since no post is really complete without pictures. I'll try to upload my own next time I try one on (again):
