    Hello Everyone,

Currently I have a 6.5 inch wrist and really want a Speedmaster. I have bought and sold many watches but have strayed away from Speedys because of how big it was at a 42mm. However, I have been reading reviews and watch youtube videos and it seems as though the new Hesalite Speedies actually wear alittle smaller due to the bracelet and a reduction in length/thickness. Does anyone have experience with the new speedies? do they wear smaller than the previous models?

I have a larger roster, and have had in the past (2) Speedy Dates, one was 39mm, the other 40mm.i preferred the layout of the dials on the 40mm , matches Speedy pro layout. You can find these in the usd market, a very nice supply of choices

No clue if this helps at all, since I put pretty much everything on natos. But this is me and my 6.5" wrist. 3861 seems to wear the same size as the 1861, and I think it wears perfectly and does not at all feel oversized. The 3861 movement is substantially more accurate than my 1861 (currently getting ~+1s/d) and all the little dial tweaks really keep me in the honeymoon with this one. Picked mine up Jan 12th and can't think of anything to complain about it.

The bracelet, with the fully articulating end-links, does wear much better on smaller wrists. I posted a few wrist shots in this thread, you can see for yourself how the new case sits.

Fits well on my 6.25 inch wrist, but I also once owned a GSotM and thought that was fine too (my only problem with that was the thickness). The new bracelet doesn’t pull any hairs, unlike the 1479.

Go for a triple date at 40mm and you will be very very happy.

I have the 3861 on a leather strap and I think it fits well and looks good on my 6.75” wrist, even though I have to wear it on the second smallest strap hole. It wears smaller than I thought it might and on my wrist it looks about the same as my 40mm Breitling aerospace.

I fluctuate often between 6 - 6.4 inches and the 3861 fits just fine. Even better than 1861/63 based Speedy models.

I have the exact same wrist size...did you find a good fit with the bracelet? No in between links issue?

The new Moonwatch is going to be around for a long time.
With any luck there won't necessarily be a shortage and they may even be discounted for a lucky few going forward.
Simply go and try one on(the old school way) at at dealer and make up your own mind as to whether it's your style and if it sings to you, do a deal and be done with it:thumbsup:

No issues whatsoever. The smaller links definitely help when sizing. I only use the second position on the clasp when my wrist swells up.

I have a 6.5-inch wrist as well and can say from experience that Speedies wear smaller than you would think. Go to a boutique or AD and try one on, I think that you'll see that they wear small.

Major thread drift alert... but what are the tools in the background of your first pic, Marc @marcnorth ?
Tools for “massaging” sheet metal at a body shop?!?

Closely related actually, but no, they're silversmithing hammers.
