patek cases at that time were not tight at all. so dials making it to these days in such condition means they were well taken care after.
nice watches!

Also just be aware that the value of that watch in 2007 from that Sotheby's auction is significantly more today - so as others have said, do be careful with it.

My condolences on the loss of your father. I think a watch is such a wonderful remembrance. I have inherited a watch from my father, and it is quite dear. You have a special collection, and you want to take them to a place that knows and respects vintage pieces. I suggest you google something like, except replace New York with your location:

"site:http://omegaforums.net watchmaker New York"

You will find good recommendations on the forum, and if that doesn't turn something up try start a new thread.
