馃榾)) th茅 racing dial was sold last year for 7K , was mounted on a 2998-62/321 for an unknown reason, now the owner tes willing to sell the 2998-62 with the service dial and service hands for 8K but the value was below more or less 4 K to serve as donor watch .
so basically the owner had a nice 2998-62 with a lovely racing dial they then took it to a shop where they ripped them off by buying the dial for 7k and replacing it with a modern one.
the owner offered you the watch for 8k with the new dial
But he case was not so nice , the serial number also discutable , at the end the bride was not interesting 馃榾))) , the only winner here was the guy that bought the racing dial , and now the seller that sold it for 7K to a cowboy.
A shame clearly ripped off last year , poor guy, he was feeling bad selling the dial last time , and was saying was fair they have to make the shop running and make profit , looks like was a huge profit , I suspect the shop as the racing model but I bad shape and this guy was Jesus Christ arriving with that dial.
I got a totally different story about the watch from seller. I also didn't get a good vibe, he knew what was wrong with it and as soon as I mentioned it he packed up and left... Until this point he was playing dumb and was giving me super broad answers about details I was asking.
I have the feeling somebody will get bent over this watch as serial is super difficult to catch if you don't have a loupe. The part of the bridge had different color because the serial was brushed off and a new one was laser etched.
The step on the case back was barely visible.
I think somebody found a 321 movement and put the correct serial range to make a 2998-62 movement. The clutch was symmetric.
There was only a genuine 2998-62 case and funked up movement. Lots of money for spare parts.
