Well it looks like you will believe what you want - good luck with that! I agree with Base1000 - what anyone in omega told you that makes you believe what you do about the hour hand is both incorrect and of no relevance to what is the truth. No real interest in convincing you - just want to be sure others here aren't misled or misinformed.

You can make up what ever you want, but facts talk, not idle continued nonsense. At this point you should consider a new topic.

The thing of it is the link Steve posted some months ago (http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http://www.vintageure.dk/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=326&act=url) is pretty close to definitive about the 2998. I think there are a few small things that can be added to it (like the existence of 2 variants of the Base 1000 bezel) but from what I have observed it is right on the money.

What Omega literature? Please cite your sources.
Surely not AJTT, as it contradicts "must have triangle lume".

OK the internet, I guess they could not say it on the internet unless it was true🙄

I'm sorry but I thought that all ck version had the silver retention ring? This one seem to have the black retention ring..
Plus I don't see the Swiss Made clearly on the dial at all...Please any expert out there that like to comment on this??

Your watch shows very well the features that were discussed here recently about the 2nd version of the BASE1000 bezel with the different 5 and with the hands not having the triangle for the luminous material in the hour hand of which Jaguar believes they all come from canibalized Seamasters 😵‍💫However he remained solely with this opinion 😉

I like your watch with this beautiful lollipop 🥰
