I also wonder about these endless discussions about the steel base 1000 bezels... if nobody is able to determine them with certainty it will be always speculation - so what?
If it is a bad and blatant remake, well then this will reduce the value significantly, if you can´t tell if original or perfect reproduction you have to accept the uncertainty and pay what you are ready to pay - or stay away from this kind of stuff.
Often those are overly critical who can´t afford a 2915 anyway (anymore) - those who are able to buy know that they must run a risk which is impossible to proof, as these rare birds don´t show up so frequently that you can be picky.

Then you have 2915-3,short period of production and unique movement holders,strictly serial numbers,bezel definitely better,and Oval"O"dail.Hands are ALPHA,longer of course.

Hey mate, we are discussing a 2915-1 here. This man is simply obsessed with the 2915-3 features 🤦 😁
However I learned this feature about the movementholder holes from you and thank you for that. BTW, in your atavar I suppose it is a 2915-3 but where are the (longer) alphas? 😉

Some things from 60years ago don't have really expiation,with self-contained parts and human working force requesting ultimate product,can't you see whit so many reference that they are just looking for best product end design,end their manage to achieve in whom reference,easily,just look, thet you know.
