Jokes aside, I've owned over 25 brands, I like experimenting a lot, and I've never owned a Longines. They made a lot of spectacular timepieces, so I feel like there's room for everyone 😉

Jokes aside, you’re right there is no discrimination based on brand, but while I don’t think there’s room for everyone in the face of increasing demand, it is a fact of life and in the end the only relevant distinction is whether someone is a nice person with whom I’d like to have a beer with.
And on that front you have my full blessing and endorsement 😀

Funny: Christies is selling a similar one in November: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/...re-and-unusual-stainless-6102803-details.aspx. Wonderful watch. Interesting to see where it ends. I think the estimate of USD 15-20k is on the conservative side.

Serial is 7,6m and is was delivered to the Netherlands (like mine) in August 1949. Mine is a lower serial (7,4m) but delivered in September 1950.

That black dial is super nice.

I'm in Amsterdam next saturday @Royke's place (drinking wine and putting his bunny rabbit in a stew) will you be there with your Gines? I might come up with an offer that you cannot possibly refuse.

It's a redial, unfortunately.

Biggest offense to my eyes is the sub-dial. Edgeless, flat, and with script problems.
