I certainly would not want to be the judge of that. ::rimshot::

Thanks to you know who for the help...

Actually, do we know who "we know who" is? Some member of this forum or an Italian collector I can think of?

Thanks for the additional eye candy.

Looks fantastic, you must be really pleased with this one.
Yes I am. Had some doubts when it was at the watchmaker but not any more!
@Syrte: who is a member here and it's up to him to step in.

Funny: Christies is selling a similar one in November: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/...re-and-unusual-stainless-6102803-details.aspx. Wonderful watch. Interesting to see where it ends. I think the estimate of USD 15-20k is on the conservative side.

2017_GNV_14792_0144_000(longines_a_very_rare_and_unusual_stainless_steel_single_button_flyback).jpg

Serial is 7,6m and is was delivered to the Netherlands (like mine) in August 1949. Mine is a lower serial (7,4m) but delivered in September 1950.

Auction house always give a low estimate to attract bidders. This Longines 12.68 will definitely sell over $35k.

I didn't know these watches, I'd love to see one in person to understand how a monopusher flyback works...
Great catch, congrats! The phillips one, with that perfect black dial, is just bonkers

It麓s easy: all hands are moving permanently. If you press the pusher a little bit, minute and second counter will stop. If you press it full, these will be reseted to zero.

Damn, can all of you Heuer, Rolex, Omega / Speedy people stick to your stuff and stay away from the Longines subforum? 馃槨

I don't know what you're talking about 馃榿
Jokes aside, I've owned over 25 brands, I like experimenting a lot, and I've never owned a Longines. They made a lot of spectacular timepieces, so I feel like there's room for everyone 馃槈
