2317/2 Advice Please

First post here as I'm very new to vintage Omega watches...

This auction caught my eye over the weekend and I've really fallen for the look of this watch. I can't find much that's comparable to the dial and I can't find many examples of the 2317/2 reference. Wondering of I should steer clear of if anyone could point me toward some info. about the 2317/2 reference.

Listing clearly states "THE Dial - Repainted Long time ago".

and no the movement isn't rare...
