I've been thinking of getting that strap for my great white GMT, am I mistaken in thinking is only available in extra long length?

The '85? By no means "extra long". 75mm from spring bar to buckle spring bar, 105ish mm from spring bar to last hole.

If this is not what you were asking about, I can measure the others...

Thought I remembered looking into them some time ago and they were described as XL. My memory is terrible though so probably just me. They're a great look that's for sure.

This is the strap meant for this case, I think the above link points to the spring bars being the culprit.
I think this is the one designed for it

I had the 98000085 on my 2254 at one point, don't remember any issues with the fit, but honestly it was a real pain to thread through the keepers, so ended up swapping it for an Isofrane which I much preferred.

I sadly lost the 2254 (jumping off a boat on my bachelor party...), but the Isofrane I still own (now on my Watchco SM300) and I think it is the better strap honestly, unless you are dead set on the "seamless" look.

I have mine on a RubberB fitted with Omega 1.8mm x 20mm spring bars. A perfect fit.

This model was designed for the GMT wave dial/sword hands like the 2234.50 👍.
The clasp is a PITA, very large and some difficulty when snapping it shut 👎.

Care to elaborate? I've been thinking about ordering one for my 2538.20.

Omega sells an Isofrane-type strap.

As said before, the clasp is large and I found it to be uncomfortable on the wrist. It is larger then any other deployant clasp I 'v seen/used. When closing it the smooth part is closed first with the engraved part next and so locking both parts into place. The locking mechanism was stiff and regularly didn't lock in properly making it to open up when wearing or with a slight bump. One had to push down hard onto the clasp to fully engage the lock.
Maybe if you Google Pictures the clasp number 94531803 and see what you'll find. Maybe they are something for the larger wristed men, my wrist is 180mm, give or take some.

I had to learn the same. This clasp is not the only one that requires a bit of effort to close. I've learned to pinch. If you can't get a finger under the bracelet or strap, it's too tight.

You are right, there is a long version also 👍.
I found when strapping on the watch, the end piece of the hole end on the 98000085 was very hard to guide through the keepers. Likely a combination of a tight fit of the keepers and strap and the friction of rubber over rubber.

Interesting, thanks for the reply.

I have a similar sized wrist to yourself. Between that and the 98000085, fiddlyness of fitting to your wrist aside, which strap did you prefer for looks and comfort?

Hello

Would you possibly still have it?

Sorry I don't, the only one I have is the 9800037 below, these aren't easy to find unused these days.
