    Hey all,
I have an opportunity to purchase 2201.51 (a watch that I have coveted for a long time) and I am trying to confirm if this has 2500D movement. I have looked online and it appears one of the ways to tell the new movement is from the date numerals. Can someone please take a look and let me know what they think. I understand that Chronometer is also another way to tell the newer models from older ones.

    Thank you in advance.

Yes, according to the number "1" of the date wheel, it seems that it has the 2500D cal.

I'll again caution that the date wheel can be changed from the "C" version to the "D" version, so this is not definitive.

Although the date wheel with serifs on the "1" or the more angular "2" is a tell that the watch has a 2500D movement, you really need to check the serial no. to determine if it falls in the correct range for the 2500D. And even if the serial doesn't fall in the correct range, it's also possible that the watch contains a 2500D that was upgraded at some point in the past.
