Not such a great Race compared to the sprint race which was wonderful!
Great drive from Lando once again and brilliant driving from Alonso, especially fending off Perez!
It would be great to see Fernando in a Red Bull!

George really needs to just stfu. Either attack and overtake Lewis or don't whine about not being let through when you said you weren't going to attack.

Let’s not go down this route again! 😁

but yes, it would be good to see either of them in one.

It had all the ingredients to be really good, but ultimately proved a bit disappointing. Lando and max both good, but alonso was great. Poor Perez, having done the hard yakka and got past, gave the old boy a sniff by going wide at turn one and he doesn’t need to be asked twice.

all in, the right result and am pleased for Alonso. God knows what happened to merc this week. Just no pace anywhere for some reason.

Somebody needs to explain to me why Albon was classified last. LeClerc didn’t even make the start.

Can't have a Ferrari last... It's in the rules

I didn't pay much attention to that during the race and several other racing websites show Albon in last as well. It does seem strange. As far as I know a DNS should be placed lower than a DNF. Either way, LeClerc was first car out of the race. It is strange.

No more than Tom Brady ruined football in the US.

Also, F1 has been setting records all season, even in the US. I think the blame is all on the Las Vegas promoters who overplayed their hand (no pun intended) when they decided to charge ridiculous money for an event that was going to really upset both residents and businesses on the strip.

Did Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton ruin F1? Of course not. Since the championship has been determined already, and people are generally grumpy about the economy these days (Bidenomics!), coupled with the ridiculously high prices Las Vegas is charging, it isn't surprising that interest and demand is soft. Las Vegas counts on gambling, food, shopping and entertainment, but when something as big as F1 rolls into town, disrupting the free flow of people along the strip for months on end it is not a winning situation. Running an F1 race along the Strip is probably not the best strategy. It'll look great on tv but isn't so great for the local businesses.

Las vegas could be a shit show. Late night race at least in the US, very low air temp will lead to super low track temps. Tyre grip will be an issue and likely not considered by Pirelli.

I spoke with somebody the other day who lives in Las Vegas and he said it has been utter chaos there.

There are some Youtube videos talking about how much the GP is messing up LV. A lot of the locals that live and work there hate the GP. I don't see this one lasting longer than 2-3 years before being scrapped.

Yeah I've seen a few articles discussing some of the "issues". And on top of it, the track does not even look that exciting.
I guess we'll see...

Only exciting part is the fact that the track temps are going to be really cold. The current tires haven't been tested on anything this cold.
