I am much preferred the look of the original flowing organic sculpted pods.. It's interesting that they're now battling with porpoising again, aside from the occasional bouncing issue, I thought we'd gotten rid of porpoising for good 馃憥

They look better from this angle...

Looks like more rain for quali and possibly the race. Should make things more interesting!

Yea it鈥檒l be lively that鈥檚 for sure, Max is so good in the wet that it might not make much of a difference in terms of final result unless some backmarker hits him under blue flags but the rest of the field will be fun to watch.

I just don鈥檛 see Charles signing a Ferrari extension once his contract is out. He鈥檚 going to go to Audi or AM Honda.

Too many Ferrari hopes have been dashed over the recent past with drivers who were going to bring Ferrari back to its former glory, then unable to turn things around. Vettel tried and failed, Leclerc has been a disappointment, Ferrari has internal problems that a talented driver cannot overcome.

It's amazing what a few small changes can make to a track; qualifying was breathtaking..
The way it flows now reminds me of Silverstone with a bit more undulation.
Even back in the days before they put in that ridiculous chicane, I can't actually remember it being as good as this.
I'd be interested to know if anyone remembers Catalunya differently or thinks likewise馃憤

A couple more floor shots as well

That second image of the undercarriage (is that a Williams?) looks the most impoverished and ill-conceived.
On the subject of Williams, I really want James Vowles to do well there, he's a really intelligent guy and a thoroughly nice fella..

It is a Williams. It does make it all that more impressive seeing Alex pull out some of his lap times with that.

Agreed.. I really like Alex Albon, he had a rough time with the Bulls and it really knocked his confidence, given his lack of experience he wasn't given enough time to adapt to a car that was clearly built around Verstappen; typical Helmet Marco philosophy.

Big mistake getting rid of Mattia Binotto, the best team manager Ferrari has had since Stefano Domenicali who they also got rid of prematurely.. typical Ferrari narrow-minded, short-sighted philosophy.. That being said I do really like Fred Vasseur and really hope he has enough time to do his job.

Fred will do well if given a proper chance, but he鈥檚 unlikely to get that before they musical chairs him out of the team and put in some other random dude. They need to do a lot of sacking and a lot of poaching from other teams but that in and of itself will be hard when people have to relocate to Maranello and immerse in an Italian speaking life rather than just hopping between UK teams.

Yes, other than the UK which is the epicenter for the majority of Formula 1 teams and technologies, there is very little choice in Italy or Switzerland or the USA, and Italy especially seems a difficult transition to make for so many reasons.
