As we all apparently walked into another timeline…

Honda to power Aston Martin 2026

notes:
1) Honda does not currently make a motor for F1. They sold the motor to RB

2) RB will not have a Honda motor in 2026 they are building their own in the facility they purchased from Honda.

3) What exactly do you think Alonso said when he hears the news?

4) Aston Martin Honda… perhaps one of the oddest pairings in modern F1 history.

One of the most famous ad lines in history was from the early 1960's, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda", it helped make motorcycles acceptable to the general public in the US and rocketed Honda to the top. F1 and Aston Martin could do worse.

Interesting, wonder how this will translate to their auto offerings, considering they use MB now.

Honda has nothing that useful to them unless they make another Cignet… which would be sad

Loooks at the NSX power train… looks at AM having no hybrid options.

Honda are fickle as fυck, they are the oki koki of F1..
In and out then in then out then in then out
I have no idea why AM Stroll would want to partner with them,
unless Honda are giving a cast-iron agreement commitment
to base themselves at Silverstone and stay in for a very significant sustained period.

..and

Lewis Hamilton going to Ferrari?? Really??
Never heard such a load of bollocks..

If Mercedes had faltered some years ago then perhaps there would have been a chance of that happening, but he's got absolutely nothing to gain by doing that.

Mercedes hasn't been successful for two years, whereas Ferrari hasn't been successful for some 15 years or so.. To go from one uncompetitive car to another significantly less successful in recent years, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

.. and although I really like Frederick Vasseur, they should never have got rid of Mattia Binotto, it's typical Ferrari yet again..

I agree this is silly unless it’s a tactic from Lewis’s management team.

He wants the money but what he really wants is number 8.

It should be an interesting week in Monaco. Fernando should have a good shot at pole.

Yeah, they're definitely trying them out at Monaco, looking forward to seeing what they have done, although it's really not a great circuit to get really useful data.

Liking the new camera locations at Monaco, makes it refreshing. Maybe something to do with F1TV being the host broadcaster for the first time.
