As above- any suggestions on valuation of this? Don’t want to make a mistake and overpay.

thanks!

Who told you it was a “D”? I’m not an expert but serial seems low from what Ive read.

Only because it's a C is not a reason to dodge this. If you can have it verified that it's a genuine Omega and the watch itself is in good condition you can buy it.

The lack of box and papers of course is an incentive to haggle and try to bring the price down, because of the fact that should you want to sell it down the road you will also get paid less.

There are so many watches with known history in the FS section of this forum and other forums. When you start looking at a piece because you think maybe I can get this for a really low price, things are often not what they appear to be. And just as info if it's a 2500 C movement they will run consistently and accurately but take notice who has done the supposed service to these watches.

Yeah this one was apparently bought from Watchfinder 10 years ago, no box or papers, and seller can't find the receipt from Watchfinder now. No mention of a service recently. Plus seller specifically describes it as a D and there seems to be reasonable evidence that it isn't.

It looks alright from the photos but maybe with that history it's better to let this one pass.

This might not be the right watch to buy, but my PO 2500C has run perfectly accurately since purchasing it new in 2010. I wouldn’t shy away from a C if it has been serviced and everything else checks out.

Mine has been serviced twice, once due to me over-cranking the crown when seating it in. “Don’t Visegrip it!”, my dealer admonished me. You pay for your lessons, a wise man once said. That particular lesson cost me $500.00.
