~2003 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust

A conversation my dad and I had on at Thanksgiving about my love for watches led to him giving me his Datejust that he's had for 15 years and has hardly ever worn for Christmas. It's still on my bucket list to buy myself a Rolex, but I can at least check owning one off my list!

I frankly know very little about Rolex, so how'd I make out? Also, to be honest, I have trouble breaking out my Omega more than a few times a month, I kind of fear I'll treat my new Rolex the same way as my dad and hardly let it out to breathe. Any maintenance tips?
