Both watches sold;
36 000 euro for the drivers watch, 36 000 +20 % buyers premium + 24 % Vat on the buyers premium = a total of 44 928 euro.
43 000 euro for the navigators = 53 664 euro.

Is that little or a lot ? Should they have been sold at a larger auction ?

It's about right for the Market, I think. Despite the great story and provenance, both had issues. Driver's watch had replaced hands and a not-so-great dial and the Navigator's had lost its original bezel (but had a beautiful dial). I'm sure we'll hear more about them. Will they resurface with a huge dealer markup? Will they feature side by side in Speedmaster101's next blog posting? Let's see.

Drivers hands are fine. No problem with that.
