I think the dial is in pretty good condition considering the rest of the watch! I'd get it serviced/repaired by an independent Omega expert and would enjoy the crap out of it since its an heirloom.

Thank you! I had no knowledge pertaining to the history or provenance of the watch until I started researching. That's when I decided to put it in the shop.

Hec of a first omega. Just the fact it was your dads is enough to make it special but that’s is very nice even without the family heirloom part. It should clean up nicely. Make sure you post when you get it back. Cool idea your dad or whoever had using tape on the watch band. Really with either tape, wd-40 and a hammer you can fix pretty much anything

ROTFLMAO!!!!! You know how old school folks are. As long as it still runs, ride until the wheels fall off.

What a fabulous 1st Omega, a 321 Seamaster and a 1-year only reference (1961) to boot! Movement is correct with symmetrical bridge, but yes lot of work required. Please send this to a specialist and not Omega and don't touch the dial - and for that matter the case in any way! Let it look like a well-loved watch. Would appreciate before and after pics once it's been correctly serviced and brought back to life.

What a fun project and a pretty epic first Omega. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’d love a project like this. Have a great time with it!

Thank you everyone for all the feedback. I truly enjoyed reading and responding to each of you. This particular watch has so much meaning to me, not just for the fact that it is an Omega Seamaster manual wind chronograph. It is a part of my Dad, that will always be with me and now I just shared him with all of you. Even though I have over 50 other watches, I'm noticing there's nothing like an Omega watch.

Can any one point me in the right direction to purchase a top chronograph pusher? The place I took it to, says they're having a hard time locating one for this particular watch.

Call Nesbit's in Seattle with your case number 14360 and ask them if they can replace yours. Better to do them both (and save the one old one) so they match.

They have an Omega parts account.

Lovely piece ! Don't change anything, just have it cleaned ! Only change parts from the caliber, try to find the right old missing pusher and you could maybe find a new bracelet 😉 And please share pictures! Enjoy your watch and stay safe !
