Hello, I have purchased what I believe is a 1999 Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50. As you can see from the pictures, it is all but complete, but lacking a bezel and insert. Can these only be replaced when the watch is serviced or do they turn up from time to time loose? Thanks!
They can add a new one when it comes to a service, but they shouldn't be too hard to track down loose. Keep an eye on the "Watch Parts and Accessories For Sale" section of this very forum. Alternatively, you could put out a Want to Buy (WTB) post too. They're also pretty easy to fit too. You can also find them on Ebay easily enough, but I'm not too sure how many are legit.
I think I found one! Does this look right to you guys? Idealy I would like something which matches the watch. Also is $170USD about the right price?
Nice purchase, hope you got a good deal with the missing bezel Bezel looks OK from what can be seen in the photos, but I'd say if you want to avoid a fake, buy the seller. Do they have a bunch of positive feedback? Are they a watchmaker selling a range of genuine parts?
No, just a random listing on yahoo. I am hoping someone in this forum comes to rescue me with the bezel I need
I noticed just now some omega speedmasters from 1999 dont seem to have the push button deploy clasp. Mine does. What year was this clasp system introduced on Omega bracelets? I dont know the serial number for this watch, so I have kind of guessed at 1999 based on the warranty card. Thanks
You can buy them from any Boutique. Just pop in and say you lost it and they can order one. But since it’s due a service they will replace it when they service it. ( whoever you choose with a Omega parts account )
Does the bezel replacement add much to the cost of a service? These seem to cost anywhere from $200-$600 AUD.
Is that $300USD? Cheers for replying, much appreciated. I think I got an ok deal, this was a full set for $2190 USD delivered.
