1979ish SEAMASTER QUARTZ

1979 ( I think ) Seamaster Quartz given me by my Father ( now deceased ) about 10 years ago.

He bought it New and works 100% been in a draw 10 years ( batt taken out ).

I don't use watches so it seems a waste, I have no idea what it is worth and does it have a solid 9 carat gold case?

I put a new leather strap on it but kept the old strap and don鈥檛 know if it was the one it came with no box or papers but I have the instruction manual. any help much appreciated

That's the first 70's quartz I've seen that doesn't look like it was soldered by a 2 year old 馃憤

It's a nice little watch in an English case (David Shackmann & Sons).
Not particularly collectible or sought after but people do buy them for the simplicity of a quartz movement.
The London hallmark dates the case to 1981.
