Stumbled across this 1973 Bulova Accutron N3, gold electroplated. I like the case but know little to nothing about them. These are the only pics. Asking price is $80. Can someone help with this one?

If it doesn't run and time it's a hard pass. Service on these is north of $200, way exceeding the value, it's rarely just a battery.

Cool looking. Does it run?
I have two from the same year than run and keeping excellent time plus a newer Eternasonic that has started to stop a lot.

This watch was produced near the end of the Bulova Watch Co. in 1973, at a time when the quartz watch had garnered a huge share of the watch business. Bulova was hanging on grimly to their share of the watch business, producing (then) obsolete watches that were costly to produce, and weren’t competitive, price wise. So by 1973, they were cutting a lot of corners, trying to keep the price competitive. By 1973, many of the products they were selling were a shadow of those of prior years. I’d pass on it.

It’s on Goodwillfinds.com. No info on the running condition and the vast majority of their stuff is overpriced, but I do like the watch. Going to pass on this one. I need to put that money toward a Hamilton Khaki anyway (but I do enjoy scavenging for bargain watches with potential).
