a new bracelet - why?

send the watch to Omega - why?

i also dislike the reduced models, but that is not the question
Bracelet looks OK to me. Clasp not too badly scuffed (you should see one that's been worn every day for 20+ years), can't see gaps between links. Lighting (and phone?) makes it hard to see actual colours.

Send to Omega because they should have a replacement pusher readily available saving a lot of searching, and if it's going to be sold in the next five years that will definitely add to the value. Going independent will be hard to find a non-cowboy who will take it on at all and harder to find one who can do the full job. You will read that Omega "don't service the chrono module, but just swap it out". That makes sense for speed of servicing but I strongly suspect they service the module when things are quiet and put it on the shelf ready for the next one that comes in. This is how servicing is done for other things with longish time needed to service properly, eg Lotus cylinder heads of which I have specialist knowledge.

I happen to like the Reduced and although mine was bought to go into rotation it has become the watch I wear more than 3/4 of the time. And I do particularly like the colour scheme of this one. But the Reduced in general and white/gold dials are definitely Marmite [*] as this thread has shown.

To @JC3 It's your decision and judgement on whether you like it, but if your intent, as stated, is to wear it then feel free to put your hands over your ears and ignore those who don't like Reduceds and say "La la la, can't hear you!" 😁

[*] non-Brits may need to look this up.

Thank you, MRC. I asked for opinions from people more knowledgeable than me, and welcome them, both positive or negative. I'm still learning at this point. I personally like the look, it holds sentimental value, and I'm not servicing it purely as an investment for a future sale. I'm heavily leaning towards going through with servicing in order to wear it, but will do a bit more research before pulling the trigger. Thanks again to this forum for educating a newbie.

Obviously the historical information you received is completely wrong, which might affect how you feel about the watch.

This watch will appeal to some and not to others, including me. And speaking candidly, it’s not particularly valuable or collectible. Are you really going to wear it?

If you personally love it, or it has tremendous sentimental value, then fix it. But $1k is a lot to invest in that watch IMO. In your place, I would probably sell it and buy a watch that really appeals to me.
Thanks, Dan. I'm gathering data at this point, and will be taking your information into my decision making.
