Dear OF, My slow collection selloff effort continues with my 1968 Grand Seiko 6145-8000. This example is in excellent condition both visually and mechanically, having been serviced in late 2022 (receipt present). The case has some dings but retains all original edges and the caseback is in excellent condition. The crown is original as well. Modern Grand Seiko is praised for their finishing standards and it is evident to me what that inspiration draws from, for the finishing of the dial and these hands is spectacular. The dial is very slightly discolored between 2:00 and 5:00, as is common with any Seiko from this era. However it is hardly visible. If I hadn't literally just bought one of these I'd be all over this one, a super example. It's impossible to see how good they are in pictures, just so much better on the wrist, the dial is a brilliant silver that just pops in good light. Matt is also a great seller and collector and you can rest assured that the watch will be as described, even better. GLWS
The dial is definitely more white than silver. It is very bright and clear and I believe the photos represent the true color quite well (at least on my screen). The last photo in the top post is the only exception because I realize it seems silver-y there.
