Up for sale is a very nice 1967 Omega Speedmaster 105.003-65 in very good vintage condition. It's lived a full life and shows signs of wear as a good tool watch should. It comes serviced by Simon Freese and ready to continue on a life full of adventures.

The Extract of the Archives shows the watch was delivered to the UK in March of 1967. The calibre 321 movement is marked with serial number 24535847. It was serviced by Simon Freese in January 2020 and was recently checked by him again and is running well and keeping time as it should.

It is fitted with the very rare original flat link bracelet reference 1035/1501 with it's original 6 end links.

The watch is largely original with its original 24 foot flat foot crown, signed crystal, dial and hands. It appears the dust cover is a service replacement.

The case is in good vintage condition and does not appear to have been polished in its lifetime. It's edges show the original facets or chamfers and signs of the original finish. There are multiple small dings and scratches that show its history and age. Nothing detracts from its appeal in my opinion. The caseback is unfortunately rather badly marked by tool marks from multiple poor attempts to open. The Hippocampus is deep and visible. There are multiple interior service marks.

The dial retains the majority of its original lume which has aged to a pleasing custard yellow. There is some loss to the lume at stepped dial which is rather typical of this model. There is a small area of damage to the 9 o'clock seconds subdial near the 40 mark. The dial does appear a bit lighter black that verges towards brown in some light.

The hands are original and unrestored. The chrono hand has a small area of paint loss at the tip and some light surface rust. The minute hand shows some slight deterioration to the lume and cracking. There does also seem to be a bit of loss. The hour hand lume has aged but seems complete. The subdial hands appear original with signs of age.

The DON bezel insert is original and wears well on the wrist. It has lightly faded to a blueish grey. It is quite worn however with some areas of damage around the edges. There is a small chip at the 105 mark.

The 1035/1501 bracelet is marked 4/66. It is unpolished and shows signs of age. It appears to be full length and is suitable for large wrists. It has it's original and desirable number 6 end links.
